The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, vice presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi met with the Catholic helmsman, Pope Francis at the Vatican city in Italy earlier last week.
According to reports, the former governor of Anambra state, met with the Pontiff for prayers ahead of the forthcoming election in 2019.
After being selected as the running mate to PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi revealed his plan to visit Pope Francis.
Mr. Peter Obi has met with Pope Francis several times in time past including during his tenure as Anambra governor.
He and his wife, Margaret also visited the Vatican city to watch live the canonisation of Mother Teresaas a Saint by Pope Francis 1.
