3 Days of Horrors & Testimonies (The kidnap Of My Dad) Part 2 By:- Chichi Eriobu
…At 12am, we were still on the streets, searching for him… It was the longest night of my life. Full of faith, but terrible…
Oh, did I mention that I alerted my Pastor, and leaders in Church? Yes. I did. And it was one of the very best decision I could make under the circumstances. When I spoke to my leader in Church about it, he alerted other leaders, and they set up a chain prayer.
As at 5am, I was beginning to get calls from my neighbours, Church members/brethren, trying to follow up.
The security operatives in charge of the venue of that program were of marvellous help as well. They used their car to comb the same area, searching for Dad.
I was told I can’t make a police report yet, until it’s 24hours. That we can’t declare him missing, until after 24hours. And so, we all waited till like 12noon before I went to Alausa police station. But then, I had contacted one of my people that works with SSS, and he asked some questions, and I provided answers.
At the Alausa police station, I was told to write a statement. I did. They asked for his age and picture, I provided. They now told me to go, that when they get any feedback, they’ll call me (they collected my phone number, while I collected one of theirs). They said, they’ll radio their patrol team across Lagos, to join in the search.
Back at the venue where it all started, my friends and colleagues had begged that I eat food and take a shower. I hadn’t eating nor showered for almost 24hours or more than. How do I eat? Where’s the appetite to? Nothing was gonna make me eat. How can I? My Dad was missing for more than 24hours.
3hours later, I got a call from the police at Alausa division. They said they found a man that matches my description at Agege police division, that I should go there and check him out. I quickly called one of my Madam whose car was available to take us. She and I, and some other persons left for Agege.
My anticipation was high. But, Lagos traffic nearly gave us a heart attack while heading there. We spent nearly spent an hour in traffic between Ikeja and Agege.
Did we find him? Was he the one they found? Did the matter become another thing? No! It wasn’t him. He looked slightly like him, but not him. And yes, the matter was becoming another thing.
Follow the next part to find out what it was. (I’m sorry guys, I’ll finish it soon)
