Dr. Abdulazeez Adediran, also known as Jandor, the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate for governor in Lagos State, has appealed the decision of the state Election Petitions Tribunal upholding the re-election of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Before the state’s division of the Court of Appeal, he filed the appeal with his party, the PDP.
The News Agency of Nigeria received a copy of the petition on Friday.
In his 34-ground appeal dated October 13, Adediran stated that he was expressing his displeasure with the tribunal’s decision.
He argued that the judgment was a miscarriage of justice and asked the court to overturn it.
When the tribunal denied his appeal to contest Sanwo-Olu’s eligibility for the March 18 governorship election, he claimed that the tribunal had committed a legal error and arrived at the incorrect judgment.
He claimed that the provisions of Sections 177(c) and 182(1)(j) of the 1999 Constitution served as the basis for his plea.
