Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners Chapel, has raised concern over the growing activities of fraudsters across society, including within churches.

The popular cleric shared a recent experience involving an individual who allegedly impersonated him to scam unsuspecting people, describing it as a sign of troubling times.

Impersonation Attempt Exposed

Bishop Oyedepo disclosed the incident while preaching during a midweek church service, where he narrated how the suspected fraudster tried to misuse his identity.

According to him, the individual contacted one of his assistants, falsely claiming to be Bishop Oyedepo and making certain demands.

“We had an experience some time back when someone was claiming to be me and that I was asking for something,” he told the congregation.
