9-Month-Old Baby, 9 Minors Rescued From Traffickers In Katsina
10 minors, including a 9-month-old baby, have been rescued from a gang of human traffickers in Katsina State.
The Katsina State Command of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) Comptroller, Ajisafe Olusola, said the rescued children were all below the age of 11.
He also added that two female suspects, Deborah Adewunmi, 29, and Moriliya Ibrahim, 31, were arrested in connection with the crime on Feb. 11, 2019.
The NIS boss said investigations showed that the suspects were conveying the minors to Libya through Niger Republic without valid travel documents.
