Today, the Ondo State House of Assembly will convene in plenary to talk about the political climate in the state.
According to dependable sources, the legislators were expected to deliberate on the matter of the state’s executive branch. They might appoint Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the deputy governor, as acting governor in the event that Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu becomes too sick to continue in his role as governor.
The governor is still recovering at his home in the capital city of Oyo State, Ibadan.
However, a source mentioned that there may be disagreements among the lawmakers on the Aiyedatiwa problem, which is why some may not be present at today’s sitting. He also revealed that the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress had given its approval for today’s meeting.
When contacted, Mr. Olatunji Oshati, the Chairman of the House Committee on Information, verified the situation but was unable to clarify whether or not Aiyedatiwa would be named an acting governor.
