Speaking to reporters in Lagos,Toyin Abraham revealed that five people had been apprehended by the police in connection with the piracy of her movie, Malaika. She claimed to have spent around ₦500 million on the aforementioned movie.
The actress declared that she had joined the battle against individuals who steal intellectual property for the good of the entertainment industry as a whole.
Prior to this, the Federal Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Alagbon, Ikoyi, Lagos, announced that it had taken five suspects into custody, two of them were women, in connection with the alleged movie piracy.
The suspects were paraded in front of reporters at the FCID, Alagbon, Lagos, by the department’s spokeswoman, ASP Aminat Mayegun.
She applauded the police for acting on their words by apprehending the suspects, as represented by AIG Idowu Owohunwa.
