Actor Wole Ojo expresses shock after discovering Nigerian doctors earn less than N500, 000 as monthly salary (video)
Actor Wole Ojo has reacted in shock after discovering that doctors in Nigeria earn as low as N350, 000 as their monthly salary.
In a video shared on social media, Wole stated that he is disappointed with the low income doctors in Nigeria earn. According to him, doctors are special people who should be earning more.
In his words
‘’I try as much as possible to stay away from certain topics but I found out something recently that shook me. I found out that doctors in Nigeria, from one of the biggest hospitals on the Island, are being paid N400, 000 a month, I have heard some do N500, some do less, some do N350, 000…for doctors. N400, 000 at N1350 to a$1 is about $300. Multiply it by 12 months, its about $3600. Doctors in this country are on a payroll less than $4000 a year. I am genuinely worried. I am afraid. I am scared! Worried, sad and pained.
I don’t place any profession above any other but doctors are legit special people” he said
