APC supporters criticized the New Nigeria People’s Party on Monday for objecting to the Kano Election Petitions Tribunal’s decision in the UK, emphasizing that the judiciary cannot be bullied.
On September 20, the tribunal removed Kano Governor Abba Yusuf from office and declared Nasiru Gawuna, the APC candidate, the victor of the contested March 18 governorship election.
Dr. Aminu Bello, a leader of the NNPP, organized a demonstration in front of the Nigerian Embassy in London.
On Sunday morning, the eight-man march arrived at the embassy while shouting songs of unity and carrying several placards that stated, among other things, “Kano must not be robbed,” “Tinubu should allow Justice to prevail in Kano,” and “Keep politics out of our courts.”
