Armed Men Who Shot And Killed A ”Kidnapper” In Viral Video Are Not Police Officers But Operatives Of A Sister Security Agency – PCRRU

The Public Complaint Rapid Response Unit of the Nigeria Police Force
(PCRRU) has disclosed details of investigation on the viral video in
which a group of armed men shot dead an unarmed man in Benin City, Edo

A brief statement issued by PCRRC, said the armed men are not police officers but operatives of a sister security agency. It further stated that the suspects including the deceased are members of a notorious kidnap gang.

It has been established that the armed men in the viral video are not
officers of the Nigeria Police Force but operatives of a sister security
agency.
All the men rounded up in the video are members of a violent kidnap for
ransom syndicate who were tracked down to the said location.
Media stations in Edo state are currently giving the arrest a wide publicity.
