Arsenal Midfielder, Mkhitaryan, Completes Deadline Loan Move To Roma

Arsenal midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has joined Roma a 12-month loan deal. Mkhitaryan arrived in Rome on Monday morning (September 2) to finalise the deal and underwent a medical with the Serie A side. He will wear No.77 shirt for the Italian club.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan has signed for Roma, on loan without an option to buy from Arsenal, at a cost of €3m.

The 30-year-old Armenia international scored four goals in 22 games for the Gunners last term.

A statement confirmed there is no option to buy, but Roma are paying €3m for the one-season loan, with potential €0.1m bonuses.

He moved from Manchester United to Arsenal in January 2018 for €34m.

Mkhitaryan flew in for his medical this morning and signed the paperwork this evening.

He is the captain of Armenia, who will face Italy in a Euro 2020 qualifier this week, with 27 goals in 84 caps.

His previous clubs include Shakhtar Donetsk, Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United.
