Avoid wearing perfume while going outside. It’s Haram and stirs desire – Nigerian man advises Muslim women

A Nigerian man, Mohammed Modey, has advised Muslim women to avoid wearing perfume because it’s Haram.

“Dear Muslim sisters; Avoid wearing perfume while going outside. It’s Haram. Roll on is okay. You can only use perfume at home. May Allah continue to guide us to do the right thing,” he wrote on Saturday, January 24. 

He clarified that wearing perfume isn’t prohibited at home, for their husband and among fellow women.

According to him, perfume is prohibited when going out because men can smell it which can stir desire and lead to temptation.
