Buhari Postpones FEC, To Sign Budget Tomorrow

OrderPaperToday – Eight months after submitting the country’s budget to the National Assembly, President Muhammadu Buhari has announced that the budget will be signed into law on Wednesday the 20th of June 2018.

Recall that the budget was transmitted to the President on the 25^th of May 2018, after the two chambers of the National Assembly passed it.

The announcement was made on the President’s official Twitter handle: @NGRPresident.

The tweet reads: “President @MBuhari will sign the 2018 Appropriation Bill into law tomorrow Wednesday June 20, 2018, at noon (12pm). The Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting will not hold tomorrow.”
