Canada Olympic Chiefs Apologize for Drone Over New Zealands Training

Canadian Olympic chiefs have apologized after a staff member allegedly flew a drone over a New Zealand training session, just three days before their match at the Paris Games.

The Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) confirmed that a “non-accredited member of the Canada Soccer support team” was detained by French authorities following a complaint from New Zealand Football.

New Zealand’s team noticed a drone overhead during their training session in Saint-Étienne, 400 kilometers (250 miles) south of Paris, where the match will take place.
