Manchester City remain optimistic following Mary Fowler’s early exit due to a knee injury during their Women’s FA Cup semifinal loss to rivals Manchester United.
The Australian international was forced off within the first 20 minutes of the 2-0 defeat at the Joie Stadium, after appearing to twist her right knee while stretching for a ball. Despite requiring extended treatment on the pitch, City have stated they are “not fearing the worst” regarding the severity of the injury.
