The public has been alerted by the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) to the possibility of reduced visibility in a few northern regions.
According to a statement released by NiMet on Wednesday in Abuja and signed by its general manager for public affairs, Mr. Muntari Ibrahim, this was due to dust haze that had spread throughout the nation from its source area.
Due to dust particles that are currently suspended over the atmosphere, NiMet encouraged the general public to exercise caution.
The organization also recommended that people with respiratory conditions take precautions because the current weather is hazardous to their health.
