The 2023 Trace Awards’ “Best Male Artist” prize presentation to Afrobeats phenomenon David Adeleke, better known by his stage as Davido, is captured in a viral video.
The October 21st event in Kigali, Rwanda, aims to honor and showcase musicians and music with African influences.
Remarkably, Davido and Rema both had great success during the gathering. Davido won two awards for “Best Male Artist” and “Best Collaboration,” while Rema took home the “Song of the Year” honor for his popular song “Calm Down.”
