Dino Melaye requests that the elections in five LGAs be called off

Dino Melaye, the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate for governor, called for the state’s five Local Government Areas to cancel their polls on Saturday.

Melaye lists Okene, Okehi, Ajaokuta, Adavi, and Ogori/Mangogo as the LGAs.

The contender claimed that there was manipulation of the unit results.

Melaye declared, “INEC must cancel the election in the five local governments of Kogi-Central,” in a post made on his official X account. The Okene, Okehi, Ajaoukuta, Adavi, and Ogori/Mangogo elections are a fraud orchestrated by the upper echelons of INEC.

Melaye neglected to appear at his polling place, which is located in the state’s Iluafon quarters, Aiyetoro 1, Ijumu Local Government Area. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission agents had also stopped by his polling places.

Dino and Leke Abejide, also known as “Elder,” are the two main contenders running for governor of the Kogi West Senatorial District. Dino is the candidate of the African Democratic Congress.

Election watchers claim that Dino’s prospects of winning the governorship may be impacted by Abejide, a current lawmaker.
