On Thursday, people of Ohovbe in the Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area protested the terrible condition of the Benin-Agbor-Onitsha road, leaving travelers and drivers trapped in Benin, Edo State.
The demonstration, which also halted business operations, started quietly on Wednesday but gained momentum on Thursday when locals and tourists had to walk great distances to reach their objectives. Those who were unable to escape accepted
their destiny and hoped that the demonstration would soon come to an end.
On the main road, locals could be seen playing football, while barriers blocked the other side of the street.
