Manchester United staged a comeback in extra time to defeat their rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford and advance to the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, Manchester City comfortably defeated Newcastle in the quarter-finals, while Chelsea emerged victorious against Championship leaders Leicester.
