Group urges PDP National Chairman to Intervene in Bayelsa internal crisis

Stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa have called on the National Chairman of the party, Uche Secondus, to intervene in the internal crisis rocking the party to protect its chances in the 2019 elections.

The PDP support group in the state, Bayelsa State PDP Stakeholders Forum (BSPSF), made the appeal in a statement signed by its Chairman, Chief George Amaibi, in Yenagoa on Friday.

They appealed to Secondus and other prominent leaders of the party to save the party from the problem.

They said the PDP stakeholders forum in the state believe that if such crisis were not  resolved they could endanger the party’s chances in the state during the 2019 polls.

According to them, the state leadership of the party had in a meeting with Gov. Dickson at the party’s state secretariat in Yenagoa during the week, set up a disciplinary committee to fish out those accused of playing anti-party activities from the party.
