Gunmen Kidnap 90-Year-Old Retired Teacher, Demand N10m Ransom

UNIDENTIFIED gunmen have kidnapped a 90-year old retired teacher, Chief Oseaba Ejebelienu, at Emu-Unor community, Ndokwa West Local Government Area, Delta State.

It was learnt that the nonagenarian was abducted at his house  by the gunmen who stormed the premises in four motorcycles.A dependable source said the kidnappers  forced  Ejebelienu onto one of the motorcycles and sped off to an unknown destination after they had  dispossessed  those living in the building of their mobile phones.

The source who preferred anonymity,  said the kidnappers had established contact with the family of  Ejebelienu and demanded the sum of N10 million as ransom fee for his release.

Confirming the incident yesterday, Police Public Relations Officer of the state command, Mr. Andrew Aniamaka, said the police was on top of the matter, adding that efforts were being made to rescue the nonagenarian.
