Thaddeus Terhembe, a Catholic priest from Taraba State’s Wukari Catholic Diocese, has been kidnapped by a group of gunmen who may be kidnappers.
This was revealed in a statement released on Sunday by John Jerome, the Catholic Diocese of Wukari’s communication officer.
According to Jerome, the priest was kidnapped while serving in his parish, Saint Ann’s Parish, Sarkin Kudu, in the state’s Ibi Local Government Area.
But he asked the locals to pray for his protection and a speedy return.
Additionally, it was reported that two people had been abducted in Jalingo, the state capital, in the Gulum area.
According to reports, the abductors broke into the victims’ home and took them along a bush trail to an unidentified location.
Abdullahi Usman, the public relations officer for the state police, verified the occurrence.
