Leading up to Tuesday’s Champions League quarterfinal first leg against Bayern Munich, some Arsenal supporters may have found themselves waking up in a state of anxiety.
Taking the field for the Bavarians was the familiar figure of English forward Harry Kane, who had consistently tormented the Gunners throughout his nine-year tenure at Tottenham Hotspur.
Kane, renowned for his proficiency in finding the net in north London, had amassed an impressive record against Arsenal prior to Tuesday’s match, having scored 14 goals and provided one assist in 19 encounters, with half of those goals originating from penalty kicks.
Since joining Bayern Munich last summer, Kane has experienced significant personal success, breaking Bundesliga scoring records in his inaugural season in Germany.
