In the Federal Capital Territory’s Dei Dei neighborhood on Thursday night, there were arrests after an enraged mob attacked police officers affiliated with the Gwagwa police division.
The roughly five police officers went to save Mubarak, a guy who was on the verge of being lynched over a claim that his masculinity had vanished.
Our informant learned that a man who has not yet been named had complained to Mubarak about the loss of his masculinity.
A local man who wished to remain anonymous told City Round on Friday that the mob approached him and started beating him to replace the allegedly lost masculinity.
When contacted, Josephine Adeh, the FCT police spokesperson, verified the event and said that police officers who had been sent to the area had been attacked by the mob.
