Nigerian Model and actress Namia Roberts is a young go getter who continues to take the industry by storm with her impressive achievements at the young age of 21.
MODELLING
Being born and raised in Nigeria she made her debut in modelling at the tender age of 15 after she opened the TON fashion show in 2012. In 2013 shortly after relocating to England she walked the in Ecowas fashion week 2013 as well as London fashion week 2013. In the later years she has gone on to work with top photographers and videographers in major cities like Lagos, London, Dubai, ibiza… to list a few. In 2015 she got her big break after modelling for stylist Christina Cantisano, which landed her, her first cover in blab magazine, she also featured in a campaign for El-Mario fashion house and starred in the star view hotels billboard campaign and not long after Namia landed herself an ambassadorship deal and is currently the celebrity ambassador for star view Palace hotel Abuja. Later that year Namia was also made the face of Reflection salon and spa, a luxury unisex beauty hub based in abuja.
ACTING
In 2016 Namia made her debut in the Nigerian film industry playing alongside talented actor Tope Tedala and Kiki omelli in “The happyness limited” which was directed by the Award winning Imoh Umoren. Later that year she played a lead role in the yet to be released “Damsel” alongside Bobby Obodo and Gbenga Titiloye. In 2017 she landed a role in her first cinema film “Played” in which she played the character of Courtney alongside veteran actor Jide kosoko.and other top Nollywood actors such as Angela Okorie. Shortly after she also played a lead role in the award winning “Thin Line”. Where she worked alongside many acclaimed and fast rising actors such as Nonso Odogu,Efe irele, Ben lugo Toui, to list a few. The talented entertainer is currently the face of crystal brains empire, under which she has been able to fulfil her Philanthropy dreams. Her numerous projects such as raising funds and providing basic amenities for IDP’s in Abuja and raising funds for terminally ill children across Nigeria earned her, her nomination for POSITIVE ROLE MODEL AGE in the national diversity awards 2015. She recently launched her “Pink Power” foundation which is a foundation concerned with providing the basic needs, rights and protection for the girl child. With her flawless acting, eccentric personality and gorgeous face Namia plays in a league of her own. Known for her famous phrase “Who says the sky is the limit when they are foot prints on the moon” this young go getter is certainly one to watch out for.
