Ivory Coast Star Zaha Responds To Arsenal’s Failed £40m Bid
Ivory Coast forward Wilfried Zaha has responded to Arsenal’s failed £40 million pounds big after it was rejected by Crystal Palace.
The 26-year-old former Manchester United star is one of Gunners coach Unai Emery top transfer target but the North London outfit lodged their first offer for the attacker on Monday.
However, Crystal Palace are demanding £80 million for Zaha, who signed a five-year contract extension last August but the forward scored his first goal in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast’s 4-1 victory over Namibia yesterday the same day the Premier League club turned down £40m offer from Arsenal.
The Abidjan-born was asked about a potential switch to Emirate Stadium he told BBC:
“I don’t know we’ll see in the future.”I have no comment on it the only thing that’s on my mind now is trying to win this cup.
“I’m fixated on is how far we go in the tournament.Arsenal have given Emery just £45m to spend this summer and the Spaniard may have to sell to raise further funds.
