Former governor of Delta state, James Ibori was reportedly used as a reference in an anti-bribery course abroad
A Nigerian Twitter user@Miss_Funmi who schools abroad took to her page to share a post which shows a photo of James Ibori being used as a reference with another man during an anti-bribery course.
She wrote: ‘Nigeria has blown. Was doing anti-bribery course and they used our very own James Ibori as example.’
Recall that Ibori who was governor of Delta state between 1999-2007, pleaded guilty in a London court in 2012 to a 10-count charge of fraud and money-laundering, involving sums amounting to at least 50 million pounds ($66 million).
He received a 13-year jail sentence of which he served half, as is common in the British system and was released from prison in December 2016, after serving out his jail term.
