Jose Gimenez was in tears on the pitch as Uruguay crashed out of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Uruguay lost 2-0 to France courtesy of goals from Rapheal Varane and Antoine Griezzman.

But the fact is country were heading out of the tournament proved too much for Gimenez.

And at full-time Gimenez was one of several Uruguay players crashed out on the pitch as the realisation they’d be leaving Russia began to hit home.
