Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has aimed a sly dig at Manchester United following their goalless draw at Anfield on Sunday evening.
Liverpool was unable to penetrate Manchester United watertight defence, the match is the third game Liverpool has played without a Premier League goal.
Liverpool attack was ready for the task from the start of the match but a rejuvenated Manchester United backline with impressive performances from defenders Luke Shaw and Victor Lindelof was noticeable in the defensive play.
Klopp was not excited with the tactics deployed by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
“We played football, tried to do it, force them back into their own box,” he complained to BBC Sport.
“The worst thing you can face in the world, in football, is you play against a side with world-class players and they all defend with all they have, deep in the box and only counter-attack.
“It’s really difficult – that’s the biggest challenge.”
Liverpool will welcome Burnley to Anfield on Thursday for their next Premier League match.
