Lagos Government Begins Demolition Of Marked Buildings After School Collapsed

The Lagos State government has begun the demolition of buildings on Freeman Street at Ita Faji area of Lagos Island.

The demolition began after a building collapsed in the area on Wednesday, March 13, 2019.

Among victims of the building collapse on Wednesday were children, whose school was located on the top floor of the building.

Although
no official figure has been given on the number of those that lost
their lives in the incident, scores of people sustained various degrees
in the incident.

The search for more victims was brought to an end on Thursday.
