Man rejects engineering scholarship to China after girlfriend vows to breakup over distance

A man has reportedly turned down a scholarship to study engineering in China after his girlfriend vowed to break up with him due to the distance.

This revelation was shared in a post that quickly gained attention on the popular social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

The man, reflecting on a similar incident he encountered, revealed that his girlfriend had threatened to end their relationship if he accepted the scholarship.

He shared his decision in a post, saying, “I rejected a scholarship to study engineering in China  because my girlfriend at the time told me she’d break up with me because of the distance. So, I chose VUT instead. We broke up three months after rejecting the offer.”
