Manuel Neuer will still travel with the squad, despite being ruled out of Bayern Munich’s Champions League quarterfinal second leg against Inter Milan in Italy on Wednesday, the club confirmed on Tuesday.
He is one of several Bayern players currently sidelined due to injury, including attacking midfielder Jamal Musiala and defenders Alphonso Davies and Hiroki Ito.
Neuer, 39, has been sidelined for over a month due to a calf muscle injury, but there had been optimism he would return for the second leg following Bayern’s 2-1 home defeat to Inter in the first leg last week.
