Mexican voice actor who dubbed Spider-Man in Marvel films, Alexis Ortega, dies at 38

Prominent Mexican voice actor Alexis Ortega has passed away at the age of 38.
The news of his death was confirmed by World Dubbing News, though his cause of death has not been disclosed.
Alexis Ortega was best known for voicing Spider-Man in the Latin American versions of Marvel Cinematic Universe films. He dubbed Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War (2016), Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), and Avengers: Infinity War (2018), roles that endeared him to a generation of Spanish-speaking fans.
Beyond Marvel, Ortega also worked on major productions including Star Wars: Rogue One, Finding Dory, and Big Hero 6. His career began gaining momentum in 2013, spanning both voice acting and on-screen roles.
He appeared in TV series such as Luis Miguel: The Series, The House of Flowers, El Candidato, and Thursday’s Widows. At the time of his death, he was reportedly working on a Spanish-language project with YouTuber MrBeast.
