A mother allegedly beat up her nursery-school-aged daughter for not knowing how to count from 1 to 200.
The mother, who lives in Ondo State, is alleged to have used a wooden spatula to beat the girl all over her body, leaving her with welts on her face, neck and arms. She also had blood stains on her dress.
A neighbour shared photos of the injured girl on Facebook and called on NGOs to intervene.
