MTN Resolves Nigeria Dividend Issue, Pays $53 Million

Telecoms Giant, MTN has finally resolved a dividend issue its been facing in Nigeria.

In an announcement on Monday via twitter, the company revealed that a $53 million payment was made to sort the problem.

MTN
has been in hot water with the country’s Apex bank, The central Bank of
Nigeria (CBN) for illegally transferring $8.1 billion out of the
country, an allegation MTN has since denied.
