According to (Twitter | mike_thepundit) the NFF took the option of NOT calling CYRIEL DESSERS, he was not seen as a possible replacement for Odion Ighalo.
The coach’s preference was either blooming youngster AKINKUNMI AMOO or last season NPFL top scorer SILAS NWANKWO. However, CAF didn’t allow the late change as it wasn’t enforced by an injury to the player.
It’s now confirmed and official, Nigeria are heading to AFCON with a player short.
