A boat traveling from Kasabu hamlet in Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State to Yauri in Kebbi State overturned with no less than 22 people on board.
Salihu Garba, the director-general of the Niger State Emergency Management Agency, said this on Monday in Minna, the state’s capital.
According to him, between 11 and 12 o’clock on Monday, a boat mishap was reported to the agency.
He claimed that a witness to the incident stated that there were roughly 22 people on board the boat.
