He named his top five favorite artists as Rema, Tems, Burnaboy, and Davido. Although Wizkid was noticeably missing, Burnaboy, Davido, Tems, and Rema were included on the roster.
Odumodu Black continued to justify his decisions, emphasizing that Rema was the final pick because of his recent successes and his renown in the music business. But there were questions when Wizkid wasn’t included in the list. He went on to say
that, even with Wizkid’s renowned reputation and extensive career, he didn’t think Wizkid earned the post at that particular time and that Rema should have been in that position instead.
