The African Studies Center (ASC) and the university’s Department of Afro-American and African Studies (DAAS) have acknowledged the actress for her services to the Nollywood industry.
On Friday, October 27, 2023, Dada shared her achievement on Instagram, emphasizing her new role that involves collaborating closely with the department’s language professors to teach African languages.
Dada will be in regular communication with teachers and students at the elementary, middle, and high schools in Southeast Michigan.
She will also impart knowledge of Nigerian culture to the next generation by speaking at events organized in partnership with local organizations, U-M departments, and educational institutions about Nollywood and African filmmaking.
