Ondo Assembly Impeaches Speaker, Deputy
The Ondo State House of Assembly has impeached Hon. David Oleyeloogun as its speaker, as well as his deputy, Iroju Ogundeji.
They were impeached on Friday after 18 out of the 26-member House, signed the notice.
Shortly after, Honourable Olamide George was elected as the new Speaker while Abimbola Fajolu was elected as the deputy.
Addressing newsmen at the assembly complex the Chairman of the House Committee on Information, Hon. Fatai Olotu, said the former leadership was removed as a result of financial impropriety, incompetence and high handedness.
