The first film history exhibition, named “Losing Daylight,” included key relics from the 1930s to the present day of Nollywood, along with rare footage, classic film screenings, movie scripts, vintage news articles, famous posters, and video cassettes.

The two-day event, which was sponsored by BoxxCulture, EcoBank Nigeria, change.org, and Zikoko, gave visitors a chance to walk back in time and discover how filmmaking in the nation got its start, survived colonialism, found its name, and developed into the force it is today.

The 19th-century colonial era, the heyday of Nigerian cinema, the home video era, and the modern Nollywood era were the main topics of the exhibition.
