Outrage as students are mercilessly whipped for failing to resume on the day of resumption in Nassarawa

A disturbing video has emerged showing a male teacher mercilessly whipping students at the assembly ground for allegedly failing to resume on the day they were meant to resume lectures.

This reportedly took place at the Government Science School in Eggon, Nassarawa State.

The disturbing footage is generating an outrage online. Can’t we ban coporal punishment in schools? Make it illegal?

These children didn’t resume on the day they were meant to resume lectures. In as much as most of us had this experience way back, it just kinda feels wrong watching this right now in 2018. Look at how he’s flogging those females so hard. These are people’s children. I don’t know how I will feel standing there and watch my child being flogged in this manner. This should be stopped.
