The Nigerian police force has been accused of murdering an elderly man in Delta state. It was gathered that the deceased was the father of a 15-year-old boy identified as Bright who was butchered by assailants two years ago but survived.
According to a report, in 2017, the
Behind Bars Initiave (BBI) got justice for Bright by making sure the
“untouchable” men who attacked him were all re-arrested after they were
released by the Police.
Bright’s father, Mr. Sunday was later arrested and detained over alleged kidnapping.
Today,
it was learnt from Bright that his father was allegedly killed in
police custody. He was taken away and allegedly shot dead.
An appeal has been made to Nigeria Police Force , Delta State Police Command to look into the issue.
