Policemen are kicked out of their barracks by the NPA, and each resident receives N200,000

Police officers living in the Nigerian Port Authority barracks in the Sunrise, Apapa neighborhood of Lagos State are uneasy because they have been told by NPA officials that they must leave the facility within two weeks.

According to information obtained by our correspondent, the affected individuals were not happy when the timeframe for the policemen to leave the barracks was shortened from three months to two weeks.

While pleading with police superiors to intervene, a policeman who spoke on the record on the condition of anonymity stated that the destiny of more than 200 residents of the barracks is currently uncertain.
