An 18-year-old pregnant housewife who allegedly beat her 5-year-old stepdaughter to death for urinating on her body has been detained by the Bauchi State Police Command.
Auwal Muhammad, the state’s commissioner of police, revealed this on Tuesday when presenting the suspect to the media at the Command’s headquarters.
He claimed that the suspect, Khadija Adamu, was detained after inflicting grievous wounds on the child. Adamu is a resident of the Kandahar neighborhood, a suburb of the Bauchi metropolis in Bauchi State.
