Real Madrid ace Mariano Diaz is tested positive of COVID-19 as a test was carried out in preparation to return to training after a few days of rest.
The test was carried out in the confines players’ home, so the attacker did not come into contact with the rest of the squad.
Mariano is therefore told to remain in his house and he is following the relevant measure to avoid the spread of the virus from person to person while the rest of his squad returned to training on Tuesday.
Given that Real Madrid’s Champions League match at Manchester City is scheduled for August 7, Mariano won’t be available.
