Road crash reduction by 5% is FRSC's goal for Nigeria, according to Biu

According to Mr. Dauda Biu, the Corps Marshall, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) is trying to reduce traffic accidents and injuries by 5%. He made this statement on Saturday in Makurdi.

FRSC Sector Command and Special Marshals RS 4.2 together organized the 2023 Special Marshals Sectoral Workshop in Makurdi, which was opened by Biu.

Biu claimed that FRSC had developed into a “beacon in road safety administration in West Africa and beyond” through the representation of Corps Commander, Special Marshals, and External Relations, Mrs. Comfort Asom.

The training, according to him, was one approach to ensure that the 5% reduction in traffic crashes and injuries and the FRSC 2023 Corporate Strategic Goal in Enhancing Road Safety Partnership for Innovative Intervention were shared responsibilities.

He said that the corps developed the Special Marshals as a volunteer arm in an effort to increase its efforts in carrying out its statutory responsibility.

The checks, he said, were done to make sure that management and administration of road safety best practices were in place.

In his remarks, Mr. John Ugbebor, National Coordinator, Special Marshals, FRSC, stated that their mission was to prevent traffic accidents and foster a safe driving environment.
