Saraki, Atiku React To FG’s Blockade Of Eagles Square For Kwankwaso’s Presidential Declaration
Chieftains of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, and Senator Bukola Saraki, have opened up on the blockade of Eagles Square in Abuja.
Saraki and Atiku
The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, and former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, have both reacted to the federal government’s refusal for Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso to use the Eagle Square Abuja for his presidential declaration.
In a reaction to the development, Saraki took to his Twitter page to write: “The refusal to allow Senator Kwankwaso’s campaign to utilize Eagle Square for his declaration, despite an earlier approval, sends a wrong message about our democracy, particularly the tolerance level in our politics. Eagle Square belongs to all Nigerians.”
Atiku, on his own reaction to the blockade, wrote: “The last minute cancellation of an approval granted @RMKwankwaso is unfortunate. On October 15, 2014, under the @officialPDPNig led administration, then presidential aspirant; @MBuhari, declared for President at Eagle Square with no hindrance whatsoever. This was a work day.”
