[STORY]:- My Fate, My Destiny – Episode 15

Bayo was in shock. I was confused we didn’t believe what we just heard. Richard and christy didn’t understand why we were acting strange so they asked.”Why are you guys looking dejected. Bayo couldn’t answer neither could I. Richard took the remote control and rewind the video cassette then played it.

My dad speaking ” this is a comprehensive list of the people involved in shares and property theft. At the top of the list is Chief Babdmus oyeleye. Chief Badmus is my Boss the manager of Butler and shelfied Nigeria. He recruited some of my colleagues to do his dirty work. They divert client shares into their names and moved most of the company’s profit into a private account controlled by Badmus. Many middle class families were rendered poor because of their activities. After buying shares in the

company and gaining huge profit, these families are told that the price for their shares has dropped. They are then advised to sell out for a merger sum in order to prevent more losses. Badmus then buy out this shares in his name. Some other time, they transfer deceased clients shares and claim this shares using different names.

I got to know of their activities when a widow came to me and complained that her late husband’s shares was not transferred to her. Instead they claimed her husband had no shares with our corporation. I decided to look deeply into our accounts and found irregularities. I confronted chief Badmus.

That was then I started receiving threats. I told my lawyer and friend Jp okon all I had discovered and how my life was in danger. That same night the brakes on my car was tempered with and I almost lost my life while going home.

Jp advised we make this tape and keep all evidence in a safe deposit box including our will and property documents. Only jp and I knew the people involved in the scam at my work place, I was afraid to tell my wife so as not to put her in danger.

The tape finished playing. We all stared at each other, I was deeply hurt. How could the man I call father do such a thing to my beloved parent. I taught he was the kindest soul I had ever met. Chief Badmos was kind to me yet he is a cold bloodied killer. How can this be?

Bayo was pacing around, he didn’t seem to believe what he just heard. I didn’t blame him because everyone believe their parents to be heroes.
“Where are those documents you found on your father’s office bag” Bayo asked. ” At home” christy replied for me. “Let’s go get them, I need to see for myself” he said.

Bayo and I grew distant in minutes. My Dad just accused his precious Dad. He was in denial, I was angry at chief Badmus I was betrayed.
We got home, no one spoke to the other. Richard opened the door and was knocked over by a man with an Ak47. Christy screamed, “No one should say a word” we were ordered. The room was dark, we could not make out how many of them where there. In the brink of Danger, unconsciously I held unto Bayo’s hands all anger forgotten, I was scared that this might be our last night together.

He looked at me and mouthed “I am sorry” as we were dragged roughly inside the house.
Gradually our eyes got accustomed to the darkness and we could make out some faces.
We saw mr christopher seating casually at the sofa. “You” I screamed

“I knew you had a hand in all this” I told him.
He just smiled wickedly and said. “I want to introduce you to someone special, a mastermind of this whole operation, you can come in now” he told whoever was there
When the person came out, Bayo screamed in rage “HOW COULD YOU…!!!
